Whidbey Island Conservation District strives to be a resource for sharing information on workshops offered through us and other local and regional natural resource organizations. If you'd like to share your workshop information with us, we are happy to post it on our "Community Events" bulletin board at our office, as well as on our WICD Facebook page. We may also select to highlight a workshop of particular importance here on our website's Calendar if we feel if it fits our mission and benefits Whidbey landowners to conserve natural resources. Questions? Contact Kelsi Mottet, WICD's Marketing, Education, and Outreach Coordinator, if your natural resource organization is interested in posting your event to WICD's Calendar.
Whidbey Island Growers Association
Are you a Whidbey Island farmer or rural landowner interested in connecting with other Whidbey Island landowners? Staff from Whidbey Island Conservation District & WSU Extension Island County coordinate a monthly potluck group known as the Whidbey Island Growers Association that meets on the 2nd Monday of each month. It's purpose? To bring together resources, knowledge, and expertise on topics of interest directed by Whidbey Island farmers and rural landowners that attend. Come connect with others, enjoy good homemade food, and learn some new. To learn more, click on the image below, or visit whidbeycd.org/local-agriculture-outreach.
Be sure also to take a look at some of our partner's workshops that may be of interest to you below. These will be posted as they are shared. Please contact the organization that is putting on the event, however, to obtain further details about a specific event.
