ObjectiveTo facilitate an informed decision by Greenbank Beach & Boat Club membership to help resolve stormwater drainage issues on their community property.
BackgroundIn 2016, WICD was awarded a grant from the WA State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) to perform the “Greenbank Marsh Restoration Issues Assessment” project focused on the following five components:
Phase 1 Conclusion & Next StepsIn early 2017, GBBC membership selected an "open channel" design as the preferred alternative to address drainage issues. Following a June 2017 community meeting, representatives from GBBC, WICD, and neighboring property owners formed the Greenbank Marsh Working Group to provide a forum for stakeholders to be involved in the design and planning process of GBBC's restoration project.
